Our Directors
Chris Marsh - Group Managing Director
Chris is the Group Managing Director, responsible for the strategic direction, leadership and management of the Maillard & Co group of companies.
Chris joined the business in 2005, with over 20 years of experience in dealing with property in Jersey. As an Associate RICS Member, Chris previously worked for the local government, and in the finance sector and holds several Diplomas in Estate Management.
Over the past 10 years, Chris' experience, and contribution in helping developers and clients in setting up new residential and commercial developments, have significantly contributed to the growth of the business.
Dawn Barkhuizen - Group Director, Head of Finance & Operations
Dawn has varied experience in financial and professional services having previously worked for a small project management company as Director of Finance and Administration. She has 20 years’ experience in finance and accounting and 7 years in compliance and data protection. She is a Chartered Accountant and has recently completed her CIPD level 5 People Management.
Hailing from South Africa, Dawn has been in Jersey for 7 years and calls it home together with her wife and two cats.
Alistair Sarre - Director, Commercial
Alistair Sarre BSc MRICS, qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at Savills Plc, before returning to Jersey in February 1992.
Alistair is a Director of Sarre and Company, responsible for the Agency, Investment and Consultancy side of the business, and focusing on providing expert advice to both corporate and private clients.
Julian Roffe - Director, Commercial
Julian Roffe FRICS MCI Arb, qualified as a Chartered Surveyor at Montagu Evans and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
Julian manages the Professional Services side of the business and provides expert advice on strategic Estate Management issues.
Gavin Bartlett - Director, Surveying
Gavin joined the business in March 2019 and holds over 25 years of experience in the property industry. Having moved back to Jersey in 2010, Gavin previously worked in London within residential, commercial and retail areas.
As a qualified Chartered Member (MRICS) and a member of RICS, Gavin strives to ensure our surveying team provides a first-class service across both the private and public sectors.
Gavin's main focus is on developing the professional team through promoting continuous improvement and delivering demonstrable high-quality products and services to an existing and evolving client base.

Our History
We are a company that has been in property for almost a century, ever since Hedley Maillard set up his estate business in the 1920s. We’ve lived through a World War and the island’s occupation, developed, expanded and been joined by several other like-minded businesses along the way to create the Channel Islands’ largest group of property experts: Maillard & Co.
A lot has changed since we started, but we’re proud to have kept hold of our local roots. Maillard & Co brings together a team of more than 40 experienced individuals across residential and commercial sales and lettings, property management and surveying, with the shared mission of helping local owners, occupiers, developers, and businesses with property.
